What is Skeeter Marsh?
Skeeter Marsh is our privately owned property located just north of the Montezuma Refuge in NY. Although, we rely on Mother Nature to control our water levels, we've been able to make small improvements to the property over the last decade and it offers up a few good hunts to our friends, family and clients each season. Each year we continue our efforts to improve the habitat for both nesting and migrating waterfowl.
The property is approximately 28 acres, completely covered in water year round. Contrary to belief, the marsh is named after Mike’s grandfather, Don ‘Skeeter’ Bard and not for all the mosquitoes that inhabit the property during the spring and summer months.
