MOmarsh MegaSled by David Rearick Hauling gear into the field is always something that everyone dreads, especially those that can’t drive into their gear into the field. In some instances farmers may not allow vehicles to drag trailers into the field, but they may allow for the hunters to use a four wheeler to haul their gear in and out. This poses yet another problem, as typically the trailer you use to haul the four wheeler to the field, is then to heavy to drag behind it without sever wear and tear to the suspension, braking, and steering components, and that is where a good sled comes in. Initially, when we started using sleds, it was very hard to find anything that was big enough not have to make multiple trips or own 2-3 of to daisy chain together. It worked, but there was always a need for something bigger and wider to not only haul more gear, but take the turns more gracefully and NOT tip over. My initial though when I saw the Mega-Sled, was WOW, that thing is huge. The only downfall at that time was the body being made of fiberglass and I was a little concerned to the durability dragging across bare ground, gravel, rocks, corn stubble, and everything else you could find in the field. I decided to go ahead and make the purchase, and I have never looked back since. Not only can this sled hold multiple blinds and lots of decoys in one trip, it is easy to move around by one person in and out of the trailer, and very durable along with being very stable and not tipping like some of the other sleds we have used in the past. With the stainless eye hook in the front you can easily daisy chain two of the together and haul a mountain of gear with only one trip in and one trip out needed, making set-up time quicker and more efficient. My overall rating on this one is an 9 out of 10, and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Check one out and I am sure you will not be disappointed. The MegaSled in Action!
