Avery® Fleece Calling Gloves by David Rearick
I think everyone and their brother have tried to find the best glove for all situations, in the field. Either they are too bulky, muffle the call, or plain and simple don’t keep your hands warm when wet. Cotton gloves are typically not the best choice because they absorb water and tend to make your hands cold. Fleece on the other hand is great choice for the field because it will still keep you warm, even after it gets wet. Up until now, the problem with fleece gloves is they are too bulky to allow for free hand movement during calling. In many cases, guys let their hands get numb in the cold, because after hours of practice, no one wants their precious sounds drowned out by a pair of gloves in the field. That was of course, until Avery® came out with their fleece calling gloves. I was skeptical at first, would the gloves truly keep my hands warm in the field? Especially with the open bottom and exposed fingers! Let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised on just how well they work. The fleece is just enough to keep the warm blood flowing into your digits, even if it gets a little damp in the early morning. Their three finger design also allows for free, unobstructed movement of the fingers and hand, allowing for perfect calling every time. I have personally used these gloves everywhere from the field to big water and they simply work great. I never go into the field chasing ducks, geese, deer, or even turkey without them. If I want the “glove free” feel, without sacrificing to bone numbing cold or full coverage camouflage, these gloves are the ticket. Try them out in the field, I am sure your eyes will be opened to just how well they perform. Copyright © 2008 Game Hogg Hunt ClubTM. All rights reserved. |
