GHG® FB Snow & Blue Goose Decoys by Mike Bard & David Rearick

©David Rearick, Game Hogg Hunt ClubTM

Hunting Snow Geese is one of the most difficult hunts a waterfowler can partake in across the US. Large flocks, educated birds, and changing weather all make for difficult hunting and downright caty birds. In order to increase your odds in the spring, using the most realistic decoys is key to success. While sock styles decoys certainly have their place, on windless days fullbodies decoys shine allowing the hunter to stay in the field no matter the wind conditions.

Greenhead Gear Decoys or GHG for short produces a full line of active and feeder fullbody snow goose decoys. Their motion system allows for movement in even the slightest of winds and the included stakes and bases are perfect for all weather conditions. The decoys come in two styles, standard snow and blue goose, and their movebale heads allow the hunter to create a realistic feeding or content flock. Each box of 6 also includes both adult and juvenile paint schemes that add depth to the spread.

Field testing the decoys over the last few years, the results have been outstanding. With the Game Hoggs are currently deploying upwards of 1000 fullbody and 5/8 snow goose shells, being careful has never been a real option. All of the decoys receive there share of abuse being tossed into the field from the trailer/bags and thrown back into bags after the hunt, with very little damage or breakage to note. Being durable is a key feature for snow goose fullbodies, and the GHG line has handled the punishment without notice.

If you are looking for a decoy that looks like areal goose, doesn't need the wind to hunt, and can handle the punishment of a long spring season, look no further than the GHG line. I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed with the results. Seeing tornadoes of white birds in the future is no longer a dream, it is a reality.
